Academics
St. Frances Academy is a co-educational high school located near downtown Baltimore. The school was founded in 1828 to teach the children of slaves to read The Bible. St. Frances Academy is the oldest Catholic educational institution with African-American roots. The high school is operated by the Oblate Sisters of Providence.
