Seniors, when you are accepted into college, please let Mrs. Wilson know.
Mrs. Sanders needs to meet with the following Seniors today, Tuesday, October 30 regarding their Community Service Hours: Jasmine Berry, Danielle Branche, William Brown, Michael Bryant, and Jon Burns. Please come to the Conference Room during Homeroom.
Mrs. Sanders needs to meet with the Junior Retreat Committee today, Tuesday, October 30 during A Period in the Conference Room. Please bring notes from the last meeting and additional information as discussed.
All Culinary Arts students, please report to the library for your class today.
The SGA is sponsoring A Halloween Costume Contest. On Wednesday, October 31st. All students and faculty are invited to dress in costume. You can dress up even if you do not enter the competition. This is the first opportunity to obtain Spirit Points for your class. The winners will receive $50 for 1st place, $25 for 2nd and $15 for 3rd. The class that has the highest percentage of participation will win a Pizza Party to be held on Friday, November, 2nd. You must be in a "real, and recognizable" costume to be counted as participating. Costumes must also be in good taste. No bloody, inappropriate or mask-only costumes will be allowed. YOU CAN NOT WEAR regular clothes and call it a costume. If you choose not to participate you must be in full school uniform or you will be sent home. So Show Your School Spirit an Win Points for Class. See Ms. Ward if you have any questions.
It appears that many students having been sending their print jobs to the 2 printers in the Community Center office. Students send your print jobs to the correct printer to preserve ink and paper.
SFA is holy ground; please keep our building clean. For our safety do not open doors for anyone. All guests and late students must go through the front office.
Please be sure to wear your ID'S they are a part of the uniform.
Thursday is All Saints Day Liturgy. All students are required to wear their sweaters this Thursday.
Seniors- Here is another well-known Scholarship opportunity. If you have a 3.3 GPA or above, you may apply for the Gates Millennium Scholars Program. You also must have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular or other activities, and meet federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria. Forms should be submitted online and the submission deadline is Jan. 11. Go to www.gmsp.org to apply or see Mrs. Wilson for more information.
