How to Apply
Dear Prospective Students and Families,
I would like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about St. Frances Academy. We hope that you get at least a glimpse of what makes St. Frances Academy such a special place as you continue the admissions process. We are a school that models the balance between timelessness and modernity, always discussing the historical responsibilities that surround being the oldest African-American Secondary School in the country, accompanied by the modernity of staying at the forefront of technology and modern instruction with our one to one iPad initiative. Our goal is to produce graduates who can assert themselves as leaders in a collegiate learning atmosphere and become catalysts in whatever community they find themselves. We take pride in our culture being based on our four pillars, Faith, Scholarship, Opportunity, and Character, which all guide our instruction and internal structural conversations.
The term “family” is frequently used to describe relationships between community members. In my humble opinion, the small St. Frances Academy community moves beyond the cliche’ and into the novelty of family relationships between classmates. We can only hope that during an Open House, a High School fair, or a shadow day, you will get a taste of that family feeling.
Please see the documents attached for the full list of admissions documents we need before we can evaluate an application. Included you will find a copy of the application, the “6 Steps to Success” application process document, and a transcript release form. The transcript release form can be signed and submitted to your current school so we can receive the necessary test scores and transcripts.
Please let me know anything else I can do to help. I hope you will reach out with any questions. I look forward to speaking with you soon! Go Panthers!
Mr. Robert Bowie III
Director of Admissions and Enrollment
