FINANCIAL AID
Saint Frances Academy offers a financial aid program to assist some families demonstrating need. Most of our students receive some form of financial assistance. Please contact the Admissions Office for a financial aid application.
FINANCIAL AID
To determine financial aid eligibility, Saint Frances Academy uses a family’s federal tax return transcript. The Office of Enrollment Management cannot accept an income tax summary nor the federal tax return forms because it does not contain the information needed to determine financial aid. It requires information actually submitted to the IRS, as it is a line-by-line accounting of your tax return as originally filed with the IRS. The transcript can only be obtained DIRECTLY from the IRS.
Request A Tax Return Transcript
Request your IRS Tax Return Transcript online.
If you’re unable to download the transcript, call the IRS at 1-800-908-9946, to schedule one for pick up. This may take up to 10-15 days to receive.
If federal taxes were not filed, you can download or request a Non-Tax Filing Statement from the IRS.
It should be noted that financial aid will not be awarded until the documents are submitted as part of the application packet. We suggest families not wait until the last minute to contact the IRS to request the tax return transcript, as full tuition will be required until our Office of Enrollment Management receives all documentation.
SCHOLARSHIP & FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
A number of organizations provide funding opportunities for students to attend Catholic institutions in Maryland. The grants and scholarships below have their own due dates and requirements for application. Please contact them directly if you are interested.
BOOST PROGRAM
The State of Maryland enacted the Broadening Options and Opportunities for Students Today (BOOST) Program. The BOOST program provides scholarships for K-12 students who are eligible for the free or reduced–price meals program to attend eligible non-public schools. Awards are granted based on household income, with the lowest income served first. The program allows families to use awarded funds to find the best educational fit for their needs.
The 2025-2026 BOOST Application will open in Spring 2025! The deadline to submit BOOST Program scholarship applications is TBA.
If you have technical questions regarding your application, please email the Maryland State Department of Education at boost.msde@maryland.gov. We wish the best to all who applied!
